Suggestions for a Great Portrait

We can do it!   Yes, we can create the best portrait that has ever been made of you. But, when it comes to clothing, makeup and items to personalize your portrait, we need your help. So please read this through before your portrait session and consider using our suggestions. If we haven't covered your question, please call and we will be glad to answer it directly. It's the time you spend in preparation for your portrait session that will ensure many years of enjoyment.

Clothing - General Ideas:    Select colors, including white and pastels that make you look and feel great! You're the expert on your wardrobe. The staff at DeBruler Studio has the expertise to create a background to enhance your clothing, skin and hair coloring.
   We recommend solid colors and long sleeves for creating the most complimentary images. They do not detract from the focal point of your portrait - your face and personality.
   Often shoes will show, so they should compliment your clothing. Many times barefoot poses are preferred.

Makeup:  (Guys - read this too!)   A few minutes spent in front of the mirror with a little makeup will greatly enhance your portraits.
   Noticeable blemishes can be minimized with a cover-up stick (guys you may want to have your mom, wife, or sister help with this).
   For Ladies Only - Wear about the same makeup that you normally would. Our lighting techniques are extraordinary. Additional makeup is never necessary to enhance your "look".
